As I’m still taking my first steps in bass fishing, I’m constantly looking for interesting resources and meaningful readings related to this ‘topic’. Living in an area (deep in the teuton woods), where anglers are only dreaming of lakes filled with large mouthed lunkers (or don’t even know about the adictive potential of this fishing discipline), can be kind of depressing every now and then.

Luckily there are several countries holding good bass populations round the corner and just after two visits to Andalucia this year (a third trip is less than two weeks away) the south of Spain really hit my heart. If you grew up in the cold and windy north of Germany it’s easy to fall in love with the pleasant climates of southern Europe…

But let’s get to the Point. I know that for some of you fishing might be something that’s mainly based on own experiences and lessons learned in countless hours on the water, but there’s one thing that I’ve learned in recent months. Thinking outside the own box, doing research and staying/keeping up to date with new techniques and technical developments can really give a boost to the way you are fishing and the fun it brings.

I would like to start this post with some articles and readings that crossed my way in recent weeks and I also like to encourage you to add your favourite websites and other related resources. Sometimes it’s kind of difficult to separate the wheat from the chaff if you are kind of new to something, but I’m sure this tiny little list could become a good resource for likeminded heads.

  1. how do you read these japanese websites? reading through using translation tools is nothing but nerve-racking…

  2. Hi David,
true, it’s kind of tricky but on the other hand you can find some rare background informations or early announcements of new products every now and then. Sometimes a picture is worth a thousand words. ;)

    Take care…
