What the heck? Already two months since the last update… Again life is keeping me busy, but I have to reveal that summer holidays did their best to keep me away from blogging (luckily not from going fishing). I’m currently considering to loosen the reins a bit while switching from all too serious tackle chit-chat to more semi-documentary blogs.
To be honest I’m not sure if the inclined reader ‘ll like it, but why not giving something new a try, that (besides feeling more comfortable) could give the whole “thing” another spin. Enough introductory words, let’s get on with the news…
I’m really glad that the new JapanProFishing Store was successfully launched yesterday. The guys from JPF and I where working on it since a while and after weeks of designing, programming and configuring servers, it feels good to see people from all over the world browsing through the new website. There are still some areas needing improvement and a lot of products to be added, but for the enthusiast it should be fun to flip through the product pages to find the little shiny “something” that is worth to be bought. Enjoy!
As the subheadline already mentioned, my first bass fishing tournament is coming closer with each day. My friend Enrique from Cordoba kindly invited me to join him for the “Jamon, Jamon” tournament, that takes place at the 28th of September in Andalucia, Spain. It seems to be a pretty nice local tournament staged by Bass Andalucía.
I’m just placed some last orders to be well perpared for this ‘momentous event’, and the fact that the torunament takes place at Embalse de San Rafael de Navallana should do the rest. First price are two gigantic haunches of Jamón Ibérico. A kind of tasty incentive besides having a good time and hopefully some monstrous bass’ during and around the tournament.

Last but least I like to mention a little photo shooting I did some days ago. Object of desire / interest was the first Screw Bait that found the way into my tackle boxes. We already had a lively discussion with relating links and color charts and even if it took me a while to get hands on it, I thought some detail views might be of interest for some of you.
It’s hard to file Gan Craft’s Screw Bait under a specific category because of it’s unique concept that seems to be completely different to prop baits or other hard baits equipped with rotating metal extensions. I for one admire the unique style, fine detailing and the high-end manufacturing. Right now there are two more Screw Baits on the way to Berlin, as I couldn’t resist to give the 130er version and at least two different types a try (Type: SS • 0 - 3m, NS • 3 - 8m, FS • 8 - 15m).
Pictures of the 110er model type SS (color: Venom Ayu) are available in the gallery and more high-res versions at Flickr.
Right, that’s about it. More fishing talk and tackle-geek stuff to come…

Hi there,
as it seems, there’s still no official website available, but Jorge posted some Gan Craft related links over here.
Take care… Christian
