Frog Products ‘Gun-Deeni’

Unique Handmade plugs that 'll raise a smile on every enthusiast's and collector's face

I was just talking to a friend about top-water lures that are worth a closer look. While only considering the ‘usual suspects’ from popular manufacturers, it was a complete surprise when he pointed me to “‘Gun-Deeni’. It’s a beautyfully crafted plug, that looks quite similar to Megabass’ Gatta-X, but was already released much before Yuki Ito’s custom bait.


Until now I just got some basic informations from their Japanese only website, but I already contacted them - asking for more details about their inspiring products. In buisness since 1997, Frog Products is designing custom baits as well as customized rods & reels, rod grips and other accessories.

Unfortunately further details about the countless variations of ‘Gun-Deeni’ are hardly to find and the specifications seem to differ drastically from each model. Starting with ‘Micro Gun-Deeni’ and its 3/8oz and 85mm there are also models like the ‘Gun-Deeni Competition’ with a size of just just 60mm tipping the scales at 3/4oz.

What all plugs and “toys” by Frog Products have in common, is the very unique almost artistic style and approach. Fingers crossed that I can post more about them soon…
