Pairing Evergreen's TXFC-66L with Daiwa Japan's flagship Baitcaster - The Steez 103H

Really hard to describe the feeling I had, when placing my orders at JapanProFishing.com today. It’s just two weeks ago that Megabass’ F4-68X and F5-68X arrived, but one thing was obvious after just 2 1/2 days of test fishing both sticks. Besides the vivid feeling of fishing two just perfect rods fitting well to nearly 75% of my lure collection, I had the sense that something is still missing.

This doesn’t refers to the 25% of surface cranks and trick-baits between 3/16 and 3/8oz (5,3-10,3g) still lurking in my boxes, but also to the experience of a true Ultra-light rod and reel combo.

Thanks to a friendly tackle ‘junkie’, I had the chance to already have a glimpse at the dazzling beauty of Evergreen’s TXFC-66L ‘Quad Twister’ - perfectly complemented by Daiwa Japan’s flagship - the Steez 103HL.

Besides getting more and more attracted and paralyzed by this perfectly tuned high-end combo, I got a lot of positive almost passionately overwhelming user feedback and useful hints about taper characteristics and lure ranges. After a few lengthy phone calls, it was clear that the Temujin Series would surpass the ‘Chapparal’ from MB’s Destroyer line-up, I already had on my list. That doesn’t means that the Destroyer series is of less quality and excecution. It’s just that I was on the spur of the moment - feeling that spending some extra money could not only broaden one’s horizon, but also bringing a completely new feel to tackle-usage and fishing in general.

Nothing left to say for the moment - thanks for sharing the thrill of anticipation. Detailed reports to follow soon…
