After focussing on medium and deep running jerk and crankbaits recently (most of them covering depths from about 6 to 18ft), I’m currently exploring some more shallow fishing grounds. This post is featuring the latest arrivals from Japan which are classified as floating and supposed to be suitable for heavily vegetated and “rocky” areas (running depths ranging from 0 to 7ft).

Meaningful informations or reviews about Imakatsu’s Shad series are really hard to find on the net, but for what I can say so far it’s a beautiful executed lure that displays the perfect (silent) counterpart to the (rattling) IK (crank) series.
