When the Opus-1 was first announced, skeptics, present company included, abounded. After all, how could a company, traditionally known for rods and lures effectively enter the fishing reel segment of the market without partnering with another major manufacturer known for these products? Let’s define Opus….
.
o·pus [oh-puhs]
–noun, plural o·pus·es or, esp. for 1, 2, o·pe·ra
A creative work, especially a musical composition numbered to designate the order of a composer’s works.

Is Evergreen International really producing the Opus-1 in house? If not, then who is the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) source? Then again, in the final equation, does it really matter? Sure it would be nice to know the manufacturing source for this intriguing little product, but when the final composition approaches masterpiece accolades what truly matters is, do you have one to covet personally? Perhaps just as important, given his composition by Evergreen International is numbered, can we expect more in the coming years? We can feel the anticipation growing already and that mad anxiety for what’s here now and what may lie around the corner can only mean one thing, TackleTour’s Ultimate Enthusiast Award! ” Dear Sirs,
trying to provide some maintenance activities, I had disassembled the bail mechanism of my reel OPUS 1. Unfortunately I cannot put it together. I need the detailed description (or pictures) of the mechanism, including location and work of springs. Is one of them (no 40 on Dimounted Parts) to tighten? In what position it should be placed? What about the work and place of the second spring (no 41 on Dismounted Parts)?
Please help me!! I am completely broken!! It is very urgent!!!!. I live in Poland, in Warsaw.

Hi Dariusz,
I’m afraid, that I can’t help you with this one, as I don’t own one of these OPUS reels. Did you already tried to contact the shop you got the reel from? Another option would be to contact Evergreen directly. They are probably offering customer support for their pricey reel line-up.
Good luck, Christian
